FACULTY RESEARCH AWARDS
PURPOSE: The USM Women's Forum Research Award is
designed to provide a funding opportunity for USM faculty who are
pursuing research on women's experiences: the social, economic,
political, and health conditions that impact women.
ELIGIBILITY: All faculty members who hold an
academic appointment at any of the University System of Maryland
institutions. Preference will be given to junior faculty members at the
rank of assistant professor, research associate, or instructor who are
within five years of their appointment. Only one proposal per
investigator will be considered. All student scholarships and
faculty research awarded by the foundation are available to
men and women.
FUNDING: Grants up to $1000 each;
REVIEW PROCESS: Applications will be reviewed by
the USM Women's Forum Research Awards Selection Committee and designated
peer faculty.
CRITERIA: Proposals will be reviewed for quality
of proposed project; significance in advancing the understanding of
women's experiences; and qualifications of the principal investigator to
carry out and complete scope of work within the funding period.
